Join the GEO Data and Knowledge working group OPEN for ALL webinar Thursday 18th December 15:00 - 16:15 CET. Register below.
Kalamkas will take us back to recap what we did in the onboarding webinars in 2025. We will get both numbers and content in condensed form.
Marie-Francoise will explain how we foresee the transition from the in-situ strategy and the Open Knowledge statement to actual implementation plans.
Bente will take us from where we are today and point in the direction we want to go in the future. Including giving an overview of the GEO data sharing and data management principles and the open knowledge statement.
In order to efficiently and safely share data, new technologies such as data spaces come in handy. Joan will introduce the concept and explain how it works. He will also talk about the so-called G-Reqs - a tool to help data provider include the ever so important meta data.
The webinar will highlight key resources available through the GEO Knowledge Hub, reflect on lessons learned from onboarding the community in 2025, and outline how the 2026 Dialogue Series will support deeper engagement across the GEO Work Programm, in line with GEO’s Post-2025 Strategy Earth Intelligence for All.
